THANK YOU!

We would like to extend a very sincere and heartfelt "thank you" to the many people that have touched our lives during this time. It has been a wonderful tribute to Derek as we have felt such a warm embrace from those that love him and love us.

We continue to rest in the knowledge that Derek has "moved" to a place "with streets of gold" and perhaps with the best kayaking rivers any of us can imagine! This is a great comfort and our "extreme hope." It is because of our faith in Jesus and His saving power that we continue to celebrate Derek's life.

In receiving such kindness shown by so many, we'd like to acknowledge some of the people that have made this time easier to bear:

You made our celebration the success that it was! Thank you for sharing Jesus' love to so many! To be a part of such a loving church family is a gift from God. It is an honor to be serving our Lord and Savior with such an awesome group of people! Thank you for the meals, the kind words, the warm embraces, the understanding when words didn't come, and for your faithful prayers. We can't imagine what it would be like weathering this storm without your many prayers. God continues to be faithful.

You know it…but we must say it again…we love you all so very much. Our fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended "families"…you are all so dear to us. At a time when we're sure you felt the same sense of grief that we are all feeling, you cooked, cleaned, and gave of yourselves in a way that was above and beyond. We are so grateful.
